Minimum Sponsor Qualification

To be considered a suitable sponsor for the CrowdStreet marketplace a sponsor must meet a core set of requirements.

  1. They must demonstrate stewardship of investor capital.
  2. They must demonstrate a desire for direct relationships with investors.
  3. They must possess the necessary company infrastructure to service investors for the entry life of the investment period.

How We Choose Sponsors

The CrowdStreet Marketplace has featured offerings from over 80 commercial real estate developers, operators, and capital providers (‘Sponsors’) to date. The one thing they all have in common is their proven experience and the investor-friendly quality of the offerings they bring to CrowdStreet’s investor members.

Experience is Essential

To be considered for the CrowdStreet Marketplace, prospective Sponsors must have at least 10 years of private-equity real estate expertise and proven experience managing investment capital from individual high-net worth investors and/or institutional investors. Sponsors that meet this requirement are subjected to an objective review process and are classified into one of three categories based on experience.
